NYC HD Color Trio Eyeshadow Picture Tutorial

Normally I wouldn't do tutorials but I thought I would go out of my comfort zone and try it in a blog post. So here is the first of many I would love to do. This is me. So out of my comfort zone at the moment.

This palette from NYC is called Long Beach Sands. It is number 781. I love the color combination in this trio.

The first thing I ever do when applying any eyeshadow is use a primer. This one is my Urban Decay Primer Potion in EDEN.

This particular color palette is a great basic for any collection. I love how neutral this trio is. I use it mostly when I am not in the mood to go all out with my makeup especially when I need to work.

Tonight I am only going to use three brushes with this trio. This first brush is my Crease brush from EcoTools. It is from a travel collection I picked up a couple years ago.This brush I have always used with highlighting.

The next brush is the highlight brush from EcoTools. I use this brush for the last color of the trio.

After applying the last color of the trio to my lower lid, this is what my eyes look like so far.

The color looks so different that is for sure compared to what it looks like in the package.







The dark brown color is applied with my Shade brush from EcoTools.

Almost done!!!

I applied this brown to the corner and in the crease of my eye. I blend it with the Highlight brush after applying with the Shade brush.

I absolutely love how this trio makes me feel when it is applied and when I touch up my Lip Lacquer.

NYC New York Color BIG BOLD Plumping Lip Gloss Review

I received my lip gloss in a Influenster VoxBox about one week ago. I was really excited to try something brand new from NYC. I have had a week to play around with this product. So this is my first review for NYC BIG BOLD Plumping Lip Gloss.

The first thing is about the stickiness of lip gloss. I really dislike sticky lip glosses. This one is really  different. Mine isn't sticky. I received the shade 467 Pleasantly Plump Pink. There isn't any stickiness when I talk or eat either.

The color matches my natural lips so I was very excited about that. I do love a good natural lip and this lip gloss does that. The next thing I would like you to know is that this lip gloss is a plumper so that means that it does tingle a bit. Not overly so though. You do feel it when you use it on your natural lips more than on top of lip stick or another lip gloss or balm.

I would definitely buy more colors if I see them in my stores in the next few months. I think that the way these are made they are my favorite lip glosses from a drug store, maybe even ever.

Broadway Nails - imPress Press-On Manicure

Three weeks ago I received my Influenster Spring Fever VoxBox. In my box I received the imPress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails in Sexy Fresh (Photo below). I was so excited to get another one of these imPress products since I had two already. I am always debating with having shorter nails or longer nails All The Time!!!

This design is so fun and interesting. I love the feather look about them and the colors that are incorporated within the design. Here are my other ones I bought last year.

The designs are not the only thing that I am impress with. I like the fact that there is no drying time. I can pop these on in under a few minutes and go out the door.

Steps to apply your new nails:

1. lay out the sizes that all ten of your fingers will need.
2. Wash hands and possibly use some nail polish remover to remove dirt and oil from nails.
3. Resist touching water with new nails for at least 30 minutes and you are good to go.

These last up to 10 days, but I know they won't on me since I change my nails constantly.

This product is best suited for people who doesn't have time to paint their nails and those who like short nails. If you have long nails these would not work.

Brand NEW Influenster!!!

I am so excited to announce that the new Influenster.com has officially launched!!!!

I had the opportunity this morning to try it out for the first time. It was a bit confusing at first, but I figured it all out.

I logged into my profile first. I had to get my password first since it didn't work, but I got it together. Once I entered the site. I was confused. I didn't know where all my badges went and why I only had a influenster score of 37.

I got it all together after 10 to 15 minutes.

The Good

1. New site
2. Brighter than before
3. More badges to unlock.
4. More involvement

The Bad

1. Couldn't figure out the site
2. Confusing new way of things like badges, points, etc.
3. Learning the site over again

2. I can over look the confusion especially when I figured out how to do things

Surgery on Wednesday... NOT FUN!

I recently had to go to the dentist about a really bad tooth. It was infected. There is no saving it even if I wanted to get a root canal and what not. SO....

The only option is getting it REMOVED!

I had to have my wisdom's and three actual teeth removed that Fall (Nov. 2011). The women in my family all have bad teeth as far as I know.

The kicker to this story is that I have NO insurance what so ever. I don't have the money to spend $179+ on any type of insurance.

Lucky enough that I did apply for Care Credit. Which is a credit card only that you use it on medical related things like plastic surgery, dental, eye doctors, specialists, vets, etc.

I got a good amount of credit.

Last week I didn't know if I would have the money to pay for the surgery. My dentist doesn't remove molars.

My oral surgeon is only minutes from me as well as my dentist. I wasn't sure if they took my care credit though. I been worried about how to pay for this surgery since late July.

On Wednesday, my dentist contacted my oral surgeon and explained the situation. I needed this surgery. They said that it would cost about $530.00. Which is great. Then I called them up after my dentist appointment. I asked if they took Care Credit...

They do!

I was relieved because I didn't know how to pay for it. I started to tear up.

SO now my surgery is on Wednesday. I am terrified that it may go up in pricing. I can't afford any more that what it was estimated. I am going to pray that is doesn't go past $560.00 I can't do anymore.

Will update you soon on this after my surgery to tell you my experience.

Family Night w/ Kroger

So I am a BuzzAgent and have been since last year. I recently joined into the fun a few months ago again. I have been gone since then because school got so busy.

I wanted to talk about Kroger brand products. I recently got accepted to participate in this campaign for Kroger. I was sent some coupons for 20% off and 1 free boxed pizza and frozen Fruit bars, a vitamin water and a bag of Kroger cup tortilla chips. I tried them all and loved them. I have since purchased more.

The Dark Monk: A Hangman's Daughter and The Hangman's Daughter

I recently got to read two books by Oliver Pötzsch called The Dark Monk: A Hangman's Daughter, and The Hangman's Daughter which I received from a site called BzzAgent completely free of charge. 

Both of these books are mystery books that are very good if you are into crime and uncovering mysteries. According to the description from Amazon, The Dark Monk: A Hangman's Daughter is:

If you love some mysterious books than these are for you... Personally I would have never bought this book because I am not a mystery book kinda girl. Overall these were really good.

Kie is turning a year old!!!

This is really exciting. We have had our cat, Kie since September so it has been a little less than 8 months. She was around 6 months or so. We decided on her birthday to be April 23rd. She is such a cute kitten. Kie is so active and playful. She is a Japanese Bob-tail. Pure black with a couple white spots on her tummy. She also has golden/green eyes. So beautiful.

Kiss Nail Dress

 I was so amazed to have seen that the Kiss Nail Dress: Fashion that Sticks nail stickers or Okay everyone as I have mentioned in one of my posts that I received a Love VoxBox from Influenster.com over 1 week ago on the 5th or 6th of March. I got this design:

I love this product so much. I really love that you need no base coat or top coat to apply these. This product could be used on your fingers or toes. If you don't mess up on the stickers then you may even have enough for both! Another thing is that these last up to 10 days.

When you buy the Kiss Nail Dress you will find inside:

•  a mini nail file
•  28 nail stickers
•  1 design brochure or fold out booklet (showing the other nail designs and ways to make your nails more different and unique.)

You may not want to use the whole nail design so you could cut out a design to make a french tips, or something that represents your style so the booklet helps with that.

I choose to do my finger nails and I only had one problem with the product and that was my fault. I did rush a little and didn't take my time on a few nails. I followed the directions and got to the part where you remove the extra stick or nail strip. I pulled to hard so after a day they settled and now at the tips of my finger nails they show some of my actual nail but that is easily unnoticeable. My nails came out being so amazing despite the fact that I messed up. I got a cheetah print in gold and browns. They are beautiful and I am having fun with them.


This product is rather amazing because they are not that expensive at all. I even found them being cheaper that the suggested price of $6.99.

Gillette Venus & Olay Razor :)

Oh my goodness, I recently received my first VoxBox from Influenster VoxBox Program to test as I already announced on my facebook, YouTube, and this blog.

I tried the Gillette Venus & Olay Razor two times already and I am really loving it. I tried it first in the shower and it didn't work really well because I rushed and didn't take the time to calmly shave. I tried it again and took my time. After shaving my legs felt silky smooth because of the moisture strips or bars as it is called on the product page on the Influester site.I love the color of the razor as well even though it has nothing to do with how good this product is but it just fits the theme of Gillette and Olay. The theme is Goddess and I always imagined that yellow or gold fits. I didn't feel like the razor was going to slip from my hand like some of the razors I used in the past. This razor is one of my favorites. I do use other brands but always come back to Gillette no matter what. Here are some product information for this razor:

I didn't need shaving cream the 2nd time I shaved. I rush the first time so I got razor burn and so I took my time with shaving. I found out that my legs felt really moisturized and felt amazing.

• As with most Venus razors, new Venus & Olay also features a rounded, pivoting head designed for women’s curves, and a soft-grip ergonomic handle for confident control, even in wet and soapy environment

OH my... This is the best razor brand and this razor is a way easier razor to deal with. I had problems on the first testing day but I was at fault for it because I rushed and didn't take my time with the razor.

My Love VoxBox is finally here. Influenster is a wonderful site that I found out about from a fellow YouTuber 29Tequilla. My New Kitten...

I got a new kitten in September. We named her Kie. She is going to be 1 year old in April or May. Here is a picture of her...
